‘Life for a Life’ is a registered charity with a duly elected board of Trustees. The ‘Life for a Life’ scheme has been specifically designed to benefit all individuals and families regardless of creed, race or status, who are grieving over the loss of a loved one, by physically doing something which will help them during the bereavement period. The scheme involves the planting of a tree or trees to commemorate a loved one, with a plaque alongside and an entry recorded in the Book of Remembrance.

The trees which are planted will, of course, overtime develop into a well organised beautiful and colourful forest to be enjoyed by everyone who visits the specially selected sites. The first memorial forest and garden was opened in September 1999 at Strinesdale Country Park in Oldham, with many more sites now being opened throughout the UK.
Monies generated from this charity are being donated to local hospices around the UK.
